Comfort Colors

We made these images on Sullivan’s Island just outside of Charleston, SC. This location holds a nostalgic quality for me because it’s a place where I would play as a kid.

The big grassy knoll where we primarily photographed is surrounded by a bamboo forest that we used to run up and slide down on flattened out cardboard boxes that would be leftover from the restaurants across the street. It was a fun “pinch me” moment thinking of how impressed 8-yr old Lizzy would have been to see her grown up self photographing a brand campaign at that same location.

The team who supported me on this shoot was absolutely A1, top-knotch. We scorched in the sun, dabbed so much sweat from our faces, and I’d bet we collectively ran a marathon based on the step count we all put in that day.

Comfort Colors is a brand with a lot of love + loyalty in South Carolina. Between college football, greek life, and many others, you’re not serious about your shirts unless you’re wearing Comfort Colors. I am grateful to have gotten to make these images with them + their team.
